Deadline for applications: August 30, 2016

The project “Self-on-a-Chip” focuses on the technical, methodological, theoretical, epistemological and philosophical aspects of some innovative “cells-on-chip” models which are currently developed within the University Campus Bio-Medico of Rome by an interdisciplinary team of tissue engineers, translational oncologists and mathematical modelers. Thanks to the collaboration between scientists and philosophers of science, the project will determine the quality of these new models for the study of cancer and of tissue organization, and for the reconceptualization of some philosophical concepts such as that of “self”.

Before applying, please read carefully all the conditions reported on the official web page at University Campus Bio-Medico, Institute of Philosophy of Scientific and Technological Practice. The Italian version is here.
